Just our luck.... We have another storm coming.. well actually it arrived around midnight!Windgusts up to 100 mph in our little town. And they predict up to 14 inch of moisture (rain/ice or snow) within the next 16 hours.Hans is in DC, so I am home alone and boy, our little house sure is getting a beating! O no... horizontal snow... that's not good! Well, if you never hear from me again... :)
Hebben wij weer.... We hebben weer een storm op komst.. nou eigenlijk is het al gearriveerd, vannacht rond 12 uur. Rukwinden tot 160 km/h in ons kleine stadje. En ze voorspellen 35 cm neerslag (in de vorm van sneeuw / regen of ijs).
Hans is in DC, dus ik zit hier alleen en jongens, ons kleine huis krijgt het goed te verduren...!
O nee, horizontale sneeuw, dat is niet goed! Nou, als jullie nooit meer wat van me horen...... :)
Well, Hans left for Washington DC for two weeks, so while he is out, I am enjoying all the wildlife right in our backyard... well, just outside the backyard that is.
The snow really is melting and I am really happy with that. And now the prairie dogs come back above ground and because they are, the coyotes also come back to see if there is any snacking around here (prairiedogs..). Last week we saw a beautifull red fox sneaking up to some geese, but they spotted him and took off...
And all that right from behind our computer, overlooking the backyard, over the fence... into the wilderness... Life is swell! 
Nou, Hans is vertrokken naar Washington DC voor twee weken. En terwijl hij weg is, geniet ik van al het wild in de achtertuin... nou ja, net buiten onze achtertuin.
De sneeuw begint nu echt goed te smelten gelukkig en hierdoor komen de prairiehondjes (knaagdiertjes) weer boven de grond kijken. En daardoor komen ook de coyotes weer tevoorschijn om te kijken of er nog wat te snoepen valt (de prairiehondjes). Vorige week zagen we een prachtige rode vos een stel ganzen besluipen, maar ze zagen hem op tijd en maakten dat ze weg kwamen...
En al dat moois zien we vanachter ons computertje, uitkijkend op de achtertuin, over het hek, de wildernis in.... Het leven is toch geweldig!
